Uses for recycled plastic
Our research in this field has been fruitful. Today, Sidel’s plastic bottle production lines are fully compatible with recycled PET.
We are currently working with the plastic recycling industry to expand the scope of recycled PET bottle production. Our efforts include:
- Working with certifying organizations to confirm the recyclability of our packaging solutions,
- Ensuring the compatibility of our equipment with recycled PET,
- Collaborating with several market organizations (Napcor, Petcore, EcoEmballage…) to promote PET reuse and recycling.
The technology is ready, it’s time to collect more PET.
Collecting used plastic items is the greatest challenge in PET recycling. Today, collection rates are not high enough to ensure optimum production of bottles made from recycled PET.
